My life in Football

I started playing football my junior year of highschool and let me tell you, it was the best experience of my life. Sure i was scared at first to go out for it becuase of my fear of highschool's typical jocks. I thought they would be judgemental and that they would harass me in so many different ways. But, as the season began, i found out something new. These guys weren't really what they were portrayed to be. They were actually helpful, and they were supportive really. The friendships that I made, the brotherhood of the team, the skills that i learned through the sport will leave with me. I am currently a senior in highschool, getting ready to graduate, and if i could do something over in higschool, anything at all, it would be that i join football beginning of my freshman year. Because i joined it junior year, i began at the JV level, which wasn't bad, but not much juniors play at the JV level. But, the competition, the aggressiveness on the field, the intensity of the game, it was all worth my time. To this day, i have no clue of how i made it through the 2 years. I mean, the training it took, the dedication and perspiration, the pain. MAN! I think to myself, "how did i possibly get through it?" I look back and i know that i did something worthwhile, something that i would look back and be proud of. Highschool football will alwayz be one of my most cherished moments of my 4 years.
